Design Description:
The space design of the hotel is dominated by the strong wind of the Republic of China. In the design of the lobby, the combination of metal plates with the sense of age and history is used to form the art wall, symbolizing the strong patriotic spirit and the attitude of accepting new things in the Republic of China. Steady wooden furniture, introduced into the space, a little bit of filling, this is a kind of memory of time, quiet and strength.
In the process of creation, the designer keeps repeating such actions, responding to the history with real objects and capturing the time with a touchable sense of intimacy. The lobby bar is full of art works, which is enough to make people have the most wonderful and artistic dream of the Republic of China. At that time, records and literature were quietly placed here, and time made them more mysterious.
In addition to women full of feelings, art is also an indispensable existence in Nanjing during the Republic of China period, and painting is the most popular, and the elevator hall cleverly shows all these. The cloud brocade on the wall adopts the contemporary color to degenerate the pattern of the Republic of China. It is matched with the black-and-white film projected on the LED screen. The vivid combination of static and dynamic is used to create a unique visual enjoyment.
Retretro stained glass is a major feature of Nanjing architecture in the Republic of China. Yang takes this material as the material and cleverly uses color changes in the glass partition of the Chinese restaurant to create a mysterious and gorgeous space effect, as if he is in the street scene of the Republic of China. In the processing of other details, the symbolic language and form of Nanjing architecture during the Republic of China are also extracted and applied to the subtle places such as door handles and signs. Here, everything exudes the temperament of that era -- literature and art, elegance.
The whole hotel is a poetic narration in the space. Multiple historical symbols are shown one by one after orderly carding and reconstruction, and the cultural context is also unfolded in a logical sequence. The story and readability of the space are perfectly interpreted by the design symbol language and narrated in a poetic way, allowing people to enter a time travel in the bustling modern city.
